Class Scheduling and Wandering

I felt a lot better today! This morning, we registered for classes, or at least I attempted to register. Classes are offered at very different times than at UW-Madison. For instance, on Tuesdays and Thursdays I have a class from 9:00-11:00 am and then my next class is from 7:00-8:30 pm. This will definitely take some time to get used to. Thankfully, the first two weeks I just have one Spanish class for three hours a day. It's an intensive session to get us prepared for taking business classes in Spanish. After those two weeks, my regular classes will start. I might be taking a class called Vino En Espana (Wine in Spain) which would be pretty awesome.

After scheduling, I explored a little with my group and then went to the store to grab some shampoo and conditioner. I was surprised to find that they lock up their shampoo and conditioner in a case, like we do in America for jewelry. I'm not really sure why, it was only 3.5 Euros (less than $5). Anyways, I had to figure out how to ask an employee if she could open the case. Also, they charge you for plastic grocery bags. It was an interesting experience.

I had a yummy lunch with Virginia. She made tourtelini, it was wonderful.

Then I went with my group to check out a CIEE activity and after that proceeded to go to a small bar and have a glass of free sangria. ALL of the bars, nightclubs, activity centers, etc know that us American just arrived to Seville so they shower us with free things at first hoping they will get our business later.

After meeting a bunch of people in my program I went home for dinner with Virginia. She made me chicken with Spinach on the side. It was so yummy! I was 2 for 2 with the meals for today! and breakfast is always a success... it's hot chocolate, a pastry and fruit.

Sending Smiles From Sevilla,

Rebecca
