Kelly in Sevilla- Day 2!

Kelly's second and final day in the wonderful city of Sevilla.

Since I had class from 9:00-1:00 this morning I told Kelly she should go tour La Catedral and climb up the tower, La Giralda. I also told her to go to a specific cafe for some authentic tostada with olive oil and tomatoes. My class ended up finishing early so I met her at the cafe and joined her for breakfast before my other class! While I was at my second class she went to the cathedral and then we met back at my apartment! I was amazed by Kelly's ability to navigate the city! It took me about 3 weeks to not get completely lost every time I went into el centro.

We had lunch at home with Virginia, Carlos and Gema. We then went to El Torre del Oro which is a naval museum on the river and you can climb up for a great view of the city. (We are all about finding the best place for a view!) After that we walked into el centro and did a little shopping! I mostly window shopped but Kelly found an awesome pair of red pants!

After shopping we decided to get some Tapas. Kelly had never tried tapas before and while Virginia's food is fantastic, I wanted Kelly to have the tapas experience. SO-- we got 4 different tapas, photo below, and they were all excellent! We then went to print off our boarding passes for tomorrows flight to Barcelona. After that I had my last class of the week, so Kelly chilled at a cafe and did some trip planning while I dreadfully sat through finance.

We then came back for a small dinner with Virginia and Francisco. Unfortunately, Francisco was back early because one of their family members (brother in law-I think?) passed away and the funeral is tomorrow. So, it was a bit of a sad evening. But, Kelly and I talked to Francisco for a while and he was a little more cheery by the end of the evening.

"Conoces gente agradable y entonces es una lastima cuando tiene que salir."

Francisco's words when saying goodbye to Kelly. "You meet nice people and then it's such a shame when they have to leave."

Something to always keep in mind-- you don't know the next time you'll ever see someone so for every person you meet treat them with all the love, kindness and respect that your heart can give.

Off to Barcelona for the weekend with Kelly, Rachael, Sara, Maaren and Troy. Looking forward to a fun weekend!

Sending Smiles From Sevilla,

Rebecca
