I felt like I was back in America

Woke up early for what I imagined to be a scenic hike along the mountainside of Huelva, as this is what it looked like in the pictures. However, after a 90 minute bus ride we arrived to our destination. I guess we technically went on a "hike" but it was not like I imagined. It was more of a tour of the old village, we learned some survivor first aid tips, saw a lot of animals, and learned about the trees that cork come from! There were a few steep inclines and some good views, but I wish it was more of an active experience!

It was a long hike though, a little over 7 miles, so when I got back home I took a much needed siesta. I then had dinner with Virginia and took off for a super bowl party! The time difference really does mess with this kind of stuff. The game started at 12:30 AM here and I left at the end of the third quarter (a little after 3am) considering the Sea Hawks were dominating. The super bowl party was at an American bar and let me tell you I felt like I was back in America. The entire place was packed with English speaking people! It was crazy! Anyways, it was fun to get together with friends to watch the game! I sported my Wisconsin Badgers t-shirt representing Russell Wilson and Montee Ball :)

First day of class (again) tomorrow!

Sending Smiles From Sevilla,

Rebecca

A beautiful view from the hike!

A cork tree! The part on the top still has cork on it, the bottom part has the cork taken off. It will eventually all grow back so they can re-harvest the cork!

A donkey friend!

A doggy friend!

Dinner: Pasta and Friend Eggplant with honey. SO GOOD!
